Westridge Golf Course in McKinney is fantastic! The course is well-maintained, and the staff is friendly. It's suitable for all skill levels, making it a great spot for a round of golf. Enjoyed my time there and would recommend it to fellow golfers without hesitation.
What an experience! I have been looking for a new course to frequent...this is NOT it. Played here in a tournament and found the course to be decent, so I decided to bring a group with me and return. This was a mistake. Started out in the first hole and was told that we were not allowed to bring in alcohol. That was on us, we must have missed the sign. The Marshal Brian H. took our beer with the understanding it was going to be returned after the round. Well, Brian actually just stole the beer. The pro shop called Ian, his manager, and Ian's response was "it's not our problem". Well, Chad I would stop hiring thieves like Brian and teach your staff better customer service. I guess your end game is to collect our $250 green fee, $5/ beer fee, and that is enough. There are plenty of nicer courses in the area that are not employing thieves. Do yourself a favor and pick a different course...one that understands customers NOT returning actually IS a problem.
Like the track. If you don't know, it has 6 par 5's, 6 par 4's, and 6 par 3's. Sounds a little gimmicky but actually doesn't feel weird and in some ways it's a fun twist...especially if there is some wagering going on. Conditions have always been good. It feels like one of the busier golf course but they keep it moving. It's definitely in the rotation and would rank it higher than Ridgeview and Twin Creeks, but maybe just below Frisco Lakes.
I've always enjoyed the layout of the course, but today's experience was disappointing. I didn't expect to pay a holiday rate on a weekday but apparently they are charging it every day of the week before and after Christmas. The Marshall annoyingly warned us when we were supposedly 5 minutes off pace. A few holes later he interrupted us again to say we were on pace, but we needed to be alert to play faster if the group in front of us speeds up. He explained this was due to a gap 4 groups in front of us. It was all so unnecessary. We finished 13 minutes ahead of the pace described.
PLAY ELSEWHERE . Car got nailed by a golf ball while driving resulting in a nasty dent. Wasn’t too upset because accidents happen but Westridge’s response was… interesting.
I called to see if they’d make it right but they refused stating that this “was an act of God” much like a hurricane or a tornado? Yeah, golf ball dents are right up there according to them. Had this been six inches higher with a window down and a child in the back seat this would be a different story.
Their solution? They invited me to come on the course and start accusing players of hitting my car. Just what I would want when I play too.
When asked, their manager said they wouldn’t put up adequate netting unless forced by the city even though they know this is a possibility. I’ve been to putt-putt places with better netting to keep those “acts of God” contained.
My issue isn’t the dent, it’s these businesses that’ll happily take your money and provide sub par services and neglect to do the right thing.
Stand by your legal technicality if you want but this could’ve been resolved for less than your prices for a round of golf.
Well maintained course. Awesome staff. Great food, excellent practice facility.
Golfers are great people too. No complaints.
Excellent value. Though a little pricey. The market is the market.
Highly recommend.

Senior, single paired with a member
Professional, well equipped pro shop & staff who were welcoming & nice to talk with.
Large range + chipping & putting greens. Good quality range balls. Cart was A+
Course is know for its unique configuration of 6 par 3s, 4s and 5s. Some par 4s require 2 strong shots to get home;
You’ll hit a # of different clubs
Multiple tee boxes for players of all types
I played blue tees ( 6650 yards, 71.5 / 124 )
Mature, well kept course
Greens in great shape & consistent
Generous fairways; rough & greens are fair but challenging.
Clubhouse was well run & stocked
Well run course who reinforced the importance of pace of play
Strong value for the $$ ; I’ll be back!
What a terrible place. My mother was driving down Custer road and a random golf ball hit her front windshield and completely shattered it. When she walked in to enquire about it, the staff said they’re not liable and that it was “an act of god” lol. Seeing the other reviews, I guess this has happened before. Regular drivers on a busy road shouldn’t be worried about golf balls hitting/damaging their cars. Your negligence is not an act of god. See you in small claims court
